Hamptons Fine Art Fair, U.S.: Orlik's World: The Lost Visionary of 1980s New York
-
Overview
We are delighted to be exhibiting at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair 2026, dedicated to the extraordinary work of Henry Orlik, including a group of major paintings he created while living in New York during the early 1980s.
Orlik (b.1947) spent more than forty years developing what he describes as 'quantum painting'' - making invisible energy visible through exceptionally technical swirls of paint, colour and light, which combine with his visionary compositions to create works that pulsate with movement and life.
Since the re-emergence of Orlik's work in 2024 following decades in reclusion, his works have been met with critical acclaim. Following recent exhibitions staged by Winsor Birch in London, New York and Palm Beach, his paintings have gained increasing international recognition, introducing a wider audience to an artist whose singular practice defies easy categorisation.
