The piece is a tour de force of geometric abstraction, characterized by its verticality and the dramatic use of sharp, intersecting planes.
Material and Color: The sculpture utilizes the rich color transitions typical of Cobalt Stone. The base is left in its natural, rough state—a textured, warm rust and ochre "skin." Above this, the stone transitions into a deep forest green, with the flat, polished surfaces reflecting light to reveal a subtle, metallic-like sheen and intricate internal veining.

Stability in Complexity: The intersecting shards represent the many different influences and experiences that shape a person’s life. "Guiding Light" suggests that even when life feels fragmented or sharp, these pieces can come together to form a stable, upward-reaching structure that points toward the truth.
