Richard Eurich was a distinguished British painter celebrated for atmospheric landscapes, seascapes and subjects drawn from modern life. Trained at the Slade, he served as an Official War Artist to the Admiralty during the Second World War. Elected a Royal Academician in 1953, his observant, poetic paintings often transform everyday scenes into images of mystery, drama and quiet wonder.
