This is a portrait of one of the women that I saw at a market in Bac Ha, Vietnam. I felt her face spoke of a gentle strength which drew me to want to capture her. A sense of quiet resilience amongst all the hustle and bustle which I thought was beautiful and by drawing her I could highlight what she stood for.. that beauty and strength does not have to be loud and flamboyuant but can be quiet, calm and often overlooked but just as raw, powerful and majestic.
